Children’s Ministries
FBC’s children’s ministries exist to help children know, honor, and treasure God.
We believe the Lord has uniquely equipped the local church to support this mission through accurately teaching the Bible and personally modeling biblical discipleship across the generations.
Core Values
Three core values especially guide the way we invest in the children at FBC:
1. Authority and Centrality of the Bible
God grows us by the Bible (Acts 20:32; 2 Timothy 3:16–17), so we labor to make it the core focus of our children’s ministries. We want the Bible to be the center of our faith and practice, so we seek to teach it accurately and clearly and to obey it in our everyday lives.
2. Parental Responsibility
We believe that God entrusts parents with the primary responsibility of teaching His truth to their children (Deuteronomy 6:5–9; Ephesians 6:4) and that the local church should encourage their efforts. We long to support, encourage, and come alongside parents as they carry out their God-given responsibility.
3. Church Integration
We believe that whole-family involvement in the church is the best environment for children. We view the children’s ministry as part of the larger church body. The New Testament commends cross-generational edification (Titus 2:1–8).
Clean, Safe, and Enjoyable
We strive to provide a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment in all our children’s ministries.

Our child policy helps us serve our families well. We are careful to protect the children God has entrusted to our care while simultaneously creating a clean and enjoyable environment.
If you have any questions about our child policy or volunteering for the children’s ministries at FBC, please contact Pastor Chris Pennington.
Children’s Ministries
We seek to train the next generation to know and love God through a variety of ministries.

Sunday School: Sundays At 10:00am
Our Sunday School curriculum, Generations of Grace, moves through the narrative of the Bible over the course of three years with special attention to God’s character and plan of salvation:
- Year 1: Genesis through Numbers
- Year 2: Deuteronomy through Nehemiah
- Year 3: Life of Christ through Revelation
We teach the same content at two different age levels:
- 3–5 year-olds
- 1st–6th grade
We encourage parents to teach through the 5-day family devotional each week to reinforce what their children are learning in Sunday School.

Adventure Club (Theology for Kids)
The Adventure Club curriculum takes children through a systematic study of theology in the Scriptures. Covering a broad range of topics, Adventure Club brings deep theological concepts down to a basic understanding through teaching lessons, Scripture memorization, and songs.
Every week, your children will learn the same theological lesson in a way that is appropriate for their respective age level. A unified curriculum enables families to discuss one topic together each week, reinforcing the lesson that children have learned in Adventure Club.
Over nine years, children will come to understand all essential doctrines:
- Year 1: The Truth about God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
- Year 2: The Truth about Man, Sin, and Salvation
- Year 3: The Truth about the Church, the Bible, and End Times
In addition to learning the Bible, we engage in fun activities, games, and competitions. If you want your children to know and love the Bible, Adventure Club is a great place to start!
- Who? All children 3 years old–6th grade are welcome!
- Where? Fellowship Bible Church
- When? Wednesday Nights (6:00–7:30pm), October through April (with breaks for holidays)
- How Much? Yearly fees are $40/child (max of $150/family)
Note: View the Parent Guide to learn about Adventure Club and view a full schedule.

Children’s Church: 11am Sundays
We believe that it is important for our children to learn how to worship God alongside the rest of the church, so our children stay upstairs during the start of the Worship Service. Every 2nd, 4th, and 5th Sunday of the month, we dismiss 4 year-olds through 4th-grade children to hear a message in an age-appropriate settings. They leave for Children’s Church after the final song before the message in the auditorium. This time is purposefully designed as a worship-training time that is:
- God-centered: We believe children need to learn that God is the focus of our worship.
- Worship-focused: Children’s Church ministry is not intended primarily to entertain children, but to help them learn how to worship God.
- Age-appropriate: We design Children’s Church to help each child understand what it means to worship God. We take the elements of worship and explain and model them in a way that a child can comprehend.

Nursery (Infants–3 Years)
We provide nursery childcare for infants through three year-olds that is clean, safe, and enjoyable. All of our volunteers commit to abide by our policies, submit to a background check, and undergo thorough training. During their time in nursery, children play with age-appropriate toys, sing, play games, and receive snacks (with parental permission).
Have additional questions? Contact our nursery director, Anna Baker, personally. We’re happy to help!
