Our Mission
Fellowship Bible Church exists to glorify God by following the Bible’s ultimate authority in making true disciples of Jesus Christ.
In order accomplish our mission, we highlight five ministry essentials:
1. Bible-Driven Ministry
The Bible is an unfailing guide (John 17:17) that meets all our spiritual needs (2 Pet. 1:3). It tells us how to think about God, how to live out our faith, and how to organize the local church (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Acts 2:42-47). We, therefore, make it the centerpiece of our public worship wherein our pastor carefully explains its meaning and prayerfully applies its truth (2 Tim. 4:1-2).
2. Christ-Exalting Worship
Every Sunday we celebrate the gospel of Jesus Christ by worshipping our Savior. Our worship service is interactive (Eph. 5:19) and instructional (1 Tim. 4:13); it includes group and individual prayer (Acts 2:42), singing to the glory of God (Psalm 66:1-2), free and sacrificial giving (1 Cor. 16:1-2), Bible proclamation (1 Tim. 4:13), and encouragement to respond personally to the Bible’s teaching (Heb. 3:12-13). We invite everyone to join us as we “worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness” (1 Chro. 16:29).
3. Mutual Encouragement
We believe that Christ, as the Head of the church, gives every believer the ability to serve His body in a unique way (Eph. 4:15-16; Rom. 12:4-8). The church works best when its members serve one another. We endeavor to pray for one another (James 5:16), encourage one another in righteousness (1 Thess. 5:11), support each other in our needs (James 1:27), and value others’ needs ahead of our own (Phil. 2:3-4).
4. Changing Lives
The gospel saves us from sin and liberates us to serve our Savior (Romans 6:17-18). We at FBC are merely sinners saved by grace. Our gratitude for God’s mercy in salvation encourages us to obey Christ in all things (1 John 5:3). Although we stumble, we trust you’ll find us to be people who pursue Christ and serve others (Matt. 22:37-39).
5. Evangelism—Local, National, And International
We take seriously Christ’s commission to preach the gospel the world over (Matt. 28:19-20). We support missionaries and mission endeavors throughout the world that share our core values as well as support several likeminded church-planters in Utah. We believe that a healthy church systematically evangelizes its community (Acts 20:20) in a culturally relevant way (Acts 17:16). We sincerely desire to reach the Ogden Valley with the gospel of Jesus Christ (Rom. 1:16).
